2017 Summer Intensive
Summer Intensive is a rewarding two-week training opportunity for dancers age 15 and up hosted by the Little Pear Garden Dance Company.
We are excited to announce dance professor from the prestigious Beijing Dance Academy, Mr. Li Beida, as our guest instructor this summer. Professor Li is a master of Chinese ethnic dances and a renowned scholar on minority dance studies. Being a teacher at the top arts institution in China, Prof. Li will inspire participants to high level of standards, and deepen their understanding of the culture behind the dances. It is a rare opportunity to experience the same level of training as the top dance students in China without actually going there.
NO AUDITIONS NECESSARY.
A minimum of 10 years of dance training in any genre, at pre-pro or pro level, age 15 and older. Classes run Monday through Friday from 8pm to 10pm. Classes include intermediate level Chinese folk dances of four different nations – Yi, Miao, Dai and Mongolia. Two national dances will be taught each week. Classes will be held at Wonderland Dance Studio, 300 John St #200, Thornhill, ON L3T 5W4.

Intensive Chinese dance training by professor Li Beida from the top Chinese arts institution, the Beijing Dance Academy.
Week 1: 7/10 – 7/14. Week 2: 7/17 – 7/21.
Fee: $125/wk. $30 drop-in. Registration required for weekly participants.
